Supermodel Bella Hadid is stunning, but that doesn't mean she grew up without insecurities. Recently, I sat down with the face (and lips!) of Dior's latest launch: Dior Addict Lacquer Plump — a stain-gloss hybrid that also promises a temporarily fuller pout — where she told me about the insecurities she had as a teen, how she got over them, and what products she now can't live without.

'I think I had more beauty insecurities growing up than probably anybody,' Bella told me as she sat next to renowned make-up artist Peter Phillips at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. "

'Growing up, I was always self-conscious about my brows but I never knew that you could do something about it,' Bella said. 'I've always had really thin brows, I got them from my dad. I was also kind of chubbier growing up until I was 15, so there were a lot of things I had to grow into — I definitely had to grow into my face a lot. I wasn't very secure with myself until recently.'

Now, she keeps her brows thin but fills them in with pencil. 'Fake it till you make it, I guess,' she says. 'Brows are such a beautiful part of a woman and a man's face, so to be able to enhance them now is revolutionary for me.'

She's also into contouring for a little 'chisel,' she says. 'I don't contour every day, but it's life-changing for sure. I mean, contouring your nose and jawline. Whew!'

Bella's contour skills in full effect:

'I like the Dior Contour Sticks [Editor's note: They're sold out at the moment, they're that good!]. They're amazing because they blend really well; they just look like part of your skin. And blush, when I was really sick over the past couple of years, blush helped me look and feel healthier, which makes your confidence go up. It was that and growing older, which just makes you feel more confident.'
