Ahead of her latest launch for Rimmel London Colourfest Collection, we caught up with singer-songwriter and former ELLE cover star, Rita Ora to talk beauty saviours, why she chose to collaborate with Rimmel and that iconic red lip.

What would be the one make up product you couldn’t live without?

‘Any form of lip colour – red lipstick is probably the most important thing to me. I really love my Ooh La La lip gloss, but before I put on my gloss I will use a cherry coloured lip liner to give it staying power.’

Oh My Gloss Lipgloss in Ooh La La is launching March 2015 as part of Rita's Rimmel Colourfest Collection.

How did the collaboration with Rimmel come about?

‘I collaborated with Rimmel because it was the first thing I remember buying when I was leaving school. I would save my lunch money to buy a compact powder or conceal stick. It’s just a great, affordable line and the colours are more intense now. Its great being one of the Rimmel girls; you know, you’ve got Kate the rock chick, Georgia who is more English Rose and I’m more like the crazy one.’

What’s your best on-the-go beauty product?

‘I recently went to Japan and I bought these face masks that you can peel off - I’ll use any mask with a sheet.’

From all of your rainbow hair colours, which is your favourite?

‘Well I’ve only just got over the blue. But before that I did a really cool pink bob – that would have be my favourite.’

What is your go-to eyeliner for creating a flick?

‘I remember when I first started to wear liner I bought this really good Rimmel waterproof gel liner [Scandaleyes, £6.49] and it didn’t come off for days! I always go for a waterproof liner because I get worried about the smudge. I’d rather struggle taking it off than having to reapply it.’
