Day 1 of London Fashion Week and I’m armed with tickets, notebook and caffeine drip.

I witnessed: Nail Day. Nudes were out in favour of Mondrian brushstrokes at DAKS, My Little Pony blue at Fyodor Golan and Seventies terracotta at Shrimps.

Hair look of the day: label.m’s Sass & Bide’s French-girls-doing-grunge with Carine Roitfeld as muse. I adore.

#FirstLook product: MAC’s amazing Midnight Well eyeshadows, road-tested by Terry Barber at Jean Pierre Braganza for his art deco eye.

Make-up look of the day: As above. Amazing to look at, if not hugely wearable.

I loved: These green and pink boots at Fyodor Golan - the colour inspiration behind Sharon Dowsett's bright eyes for the show look.

I wore: Black leather and Charlotte Simone furry candy cane.

I ate: Brownies and cookies from pizza boxes at Sass & Bide. Who says fashion people don't supply great backstage catering?

Until Day 2 tomorrow…
