Always the one to watch, the Chanel a/w 2015 Haute Couture show in Paris this week saw sharply bobbed models, with the most immaculate make up we've seen yet, play the Chanel Casino. It all made sense once you saw the clothes; the perfect, twisted-modern bobs and graphic brows mirrored the geometric collection with asymmetric dresses and structured, modern shapes. This was heralding the new generation of Couture and the hair and makeup - that was stunningly beautiful and odd all at once - was the perfect accessory.

THE MAKE UP
Skin: The base should be perfect and glowing, make up artists used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF15, with an illuminating face pen for precision highlighting, then the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour powder on top.
Eyes: It's all about the brows. Keep them straight and oversized, but draw in soft strokes so they look naturally bushy, not 'drawn on'. Make up artists used Le Sourcil De Chanel Perfect Brows in Brun No.20, and contoured lids with Le Volume Ultra-Noir de Chanel in Noir Khol No.90.
Cheeks: Amazing Geisha-esque blusher happens when you buff three shades onto skin where you would ordinarily contour with bronzer. They used Rouge Coco No.416, Joues Contraste in Ultra-Rose in No.74 and Frivole No.76.
Lips: Use a Le Crayon Levres in Rouge Profond No.57 to outline above the cupid's bow for a rounder rosebud mouth, then fill in lips before layering Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in La Bouleversante No.51 over the top. Twice.
The graphic, two-tone nails of our dreams were created with two It-shades for the new season: Le Vernis in Beige Pur first, then Black Satin on the tips. Seal it in place with Le Top Coat.
Karl said to hairstylist Sam McKnight, 'no blondes' - so he used the models' own hair as the front to soften the sharpness of the wigs, then attached the sleekest black neo-classical bobs on top.
