The hype has been building for a while now, but the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, out December, has some extra-curricular projects going on in the background that we think you'll be quite excited about.

Max Factor, having just announced their beauty partnership with the new Star Wars film, have created two exclusive looks inspired by the theme of the movie franchise; dark and light. They were designed by Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath.

Could these be a sign of things to come? Could there be some limited edition Max Factor Star Wars products later in the year? (erm, we can tell you now that yes, there will)

These are the two looks, imagined by Pat McGrath, called 'Droid' and 'Stromtrooper', and here is what Pat has to say about them;

“When I first heard that I was designing the makeup looks for the STAR WARS and Max Factor partnership, I was beyond thrilled! I love any opportunity to experiment with different looks, characters, and colours through makeup. For the STAR WARS campaign, I created six different looks using the limited edition products from the STAR WARS makeup collection. Mystic, Droid, and Jedi were inspired by the light side and Chrome Captain, Stormtrooper, and the Dark Apprentice were inspired by the dark side.”

“Stormtrooper is a soldier, so this makeup look is intercut with a graphic eye. The look is structured with a very dark berry lip.”

“Droid was inspired by C-3PO and I wanted her to look beautiful, with strong gold eyes and gold lips.”
