It's the big one: Victoria Beckham day. For all of us backstagers this means one thing: A slim possibility of seeing Harper or David (in that order of priority). OK, it also means reliably sophisticated and bench mark setting beauty from trusted team Pat McGrath (am still in awe after the givenchy spectacle) and Guido Palau, but we also live in hope for Harper. We can always rely on DVF for the first wave of really big names walking the runway so the backstage there is always crazy. But first...

The Food

There was a terrible period between 6am and 11.30 when not a thing passed my lips except a single bite of (delicious) bagel backstage at Beckham. I dropped a cream-cheesey knife on the grey carpet - don't tell anyone - so had to abandon my food and slope away quietly. It's that sort of immaculate vibe at Beckham.

The DVF spread is almost as famous as the models who walk her shows, endless hotplates of healthy(ish) comfort food New York style Kale with garlic, chilli and caramalised onion being a highlight.

The Shows

Victoria Beckham. (No family appearances)

HIGHLIGHT: Pat's orange-red lip accent. Ony five of the girls sported the bold colour so it stood out beautifully in a sea of tonal taupe. That and the catering.

Thakoon

HIGHLIGHT: This lovely model who kept smiling for the pictures. I appreicate how tough it must be running from show to show with strange journalists sticking camera phones in your face. Hers was particularly lovely having been perfected with a pre-release product from Nars - velvet matte foundation, which means no need for powder.

DVF

HIGHLIGHT: Finally some exciting faces and some exciting colour applied to them too. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, so far there is an awful lot of nude. Not for DVF who broke the mould with shimmering blue/green lids and soft, disco hair accesnted with bright floral accessories. Inspired by Diane's first outting to Studio 54 when she let her hair go curly and free. How lovely is that?

ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT: Hearing how the floral hair accesories came to be: A guy called Cheward from Ibiza made them and Orlando Pita attached them to giant pins he found in Walmart ages ago. Diane named the first dress of her shoe after Chewards mother who died recently. A little bit of international, emotional loveliness. Oh, and Karlie Kloss

What I Wore:

Today you chose purple leather Zara shorts and a simple white & Other Stories shirt for me.

My Beauty

A very simple khaki smoke. I added a sugary pink lipstick halfway thorugh the morning. It was a reaction to all the neutrals we're seeing so far. Tomorrow I might do the DVF!
