So, Dr Uchenna Okoye,
Q: How many fillings do you have? A: I have a lot of fillings! I probably have about 8 because I use to eat a lot of sweets as a kid, I had a bad diet and had teeth out that’s why I have denta-phobia. I hate dentists, I’m actually scared of them! I am told by my patients it’s made me a really good dentist because I can identify.
Q: How do you stop coffee stains on your teeth? A: Try not to drink coffee! I’ve actually had people say they use a straw when they drink tea or coffee but I think that is a bit much, really just rinse your mouth with water afterwards and it’s always best to brush your teeth before you drink anything with colour - otherwise it sticks to your teeth more if your
Hi Ben Cooke,
Q: What’s the best place you’ve ever been with a client?
A: I love Japan purely because it’s such a massive culture shock – so different. When you’re in Japan you know you’re in Japan. I’ve never had a bad time there and everyone’s adorable. Streets are clean and the people are nice.
Q: Who took you there?
A: David and Victoria Beckham
Q: What’s your favourite style for summer?
A: Un-done beach hair that’s left to dry naturally. I think people these days spend so long styling they've forgotten what their hair does naturally. If you constantl
And Josh Wood...
Q: How do you keep hair colour fresh? A: Really it’s about finding the correct hair regime. There is a new product by WELLA called colour recharge that has a small amount of colour in the shampoos and conditioners. It's new technology; basically because the hair is positively charged and the conditioner is negatively charged, it only attaches colour to where you’ve lost most of the colour, so this only really colour charges it where needed.
Q: Should you use a mask more frequently with coloured hair?<
Morning Caroline,
Q: Why should people use primer?A: It’s a wonderful gripper for foundation. When you use a moisturiser then you put foundation straight over the top, it can cause a slip because there is too much oil. Whereas a primer will mattify your skin without taking the hydration out of it. It fills any fine pores and acts as a very soft filler, so again after you put foundation on it looks a lot smoother.
Q: So should everyone use a primer?A: There are no hard rules, no one should do anything, but if you’re going for longevity - so getting married, going on a night out, have oily skin - then absolutely. My all time favourite is Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, it’s ridiculously good.
Q: What are the most on-trend nail pol
Nathalie, a few questions for you...
Q: The dry skin on our legs. How do you get rid of that?
A: Exfoliation. A lot of people make the mistake of just hydrating over dry skin and as we get older the way our skin naturally exfoliates itself, the cell renewal slows down, so whereas before we were constantly renewing our skin, they tend to build up, even if you hydrate over that you will still have all that dead skin, so the key thing is to get that off. Gillette are launching a Skin Spa, an electrical device with a brush on it that stimulates the skin and helps to lift the dead skin off. I like to layer serums for face on legs and seal the hydration in over the top, so you can treat your body like your face.
Q: Does shaving really thicken your leg hairs?
<
Liz Taw, lets talk about texture
Q: How often should one use a reparative mask? A: Someone with colour damaged hair needs to use a repair product with protein, but if you used that on someone with fine, frizzy and dry hair it would make it more brittle. If you have both dry and damaged hair you could alternate but as a general rule once a week. If you have fine hair that has no damage, no colour, then actually if you put too much treatment it will just make it floppy and flat, the best thing is to ask your hairdresser! Q: What is best for frizzy, curly hair, if you had to use one thing? A: Aussi Frizz Remedy 3-Minute Miracle because it does everything. Y
Adam Reed, you know about hair styling, right?
Q: What’s your desert island product?
A: Oh it has to be perfume because I’d always want to smell nice, it would depend on what type of desert island...
Q: No, a hair product for being on a desert Island?
A: Oil! luxe oil is really nice slightly sweeter smelling product. It's very light and gives really nice shine and helps to protect the hair and the scalp. Oil is perfect, it’s lightweight for a desert island! I'm taking this quite literally.
Q: Who has the best celebrity hair?
A: Daria Werbowy. I love her whole look at the moment, it’s the nose piercing it sets off the hair and her hair is just incredible. I also really like Nicole Richie at the moment, I did her hair before, it is VERY
Michael Douglas, lets talk...
Q: What would be your ultimate 'do for a girl’s night out? A: Some kind of messy beehive. I know they have been around a long time but I love backcombed hair. I would backcomb everything then start to get rid of the bits you don’t want by smoothing it out, heighten the crown and accessorise with little head scarves and pins.
Q: What do you think is the next style trend for us girls on the street? A: Well I think we are drifting away from shine, hairstyles are staying very similar - we will still see lots of blow-dry, big waves and texture but not so much shine. For the
Hi Dr Rene Rust,
Q: What is the best trick to get healthy hair? A: Prevent damage as much as you can because the longer you grow hair the more damage it will accumulate. Excessive heat styling and vigorous brushing when the hair is wet is bad because its more prone to damage when wet.. Regular bleaching is quite damaging as well. Always think of the hair as having a memory. We can actually measure and analyse hair all the way to the scalp and I can see what you did to your hair over the past three years so we can see if someone’s been on a crash diet say. That’s why they use hair for drug testing, If you grow long hair I can actually measure three years later if you’ve taken any drugs.
Q: Could you tell someone's overall health from just looking at their hair? A: I can see how damaged hair is.
