Beauty Shoot - Behind The Scenes

We shot...

Beautiful Givenchy muse Maria Carla Boscono for our August last of the summer makeup story. The team travelled to Paris to hook up with Maria Carla, her makeup artist friend and Givenchy artistic director Nicolas Degennes, and photographer David Vasiljevic to collaborate on the definitive summer beauty looks to end the season on. There followed a day of outstandingly beautiful clothes, a cute yapping dog, no less than four pairs of Givenchy Albertina Leather and PVC shoes at £2,268 each and four genius beauty looks that you can find in the August issue of ELLE.

The Team Stayed...

At Le Bristol where we shared the same roof as David Beckham no less. We didn't manage to ascertain his room number sadly, but we did hear some raucous party from the depths of the hotel that we like to think was his Paris St-Germain leaving party. A short taxi drive away was the beautiful Givenchy HQ where we picked up the SS collection to shoot.

The Rail...

Simple Givenchy S/S perfection. Floaty, ruffled, romantic and offset by those PVC leather heels that we all had to try out for safety first, of course

Make up By...

Nicolas Degennes for Givenchy. We sat down together to create the looks we wanted to showcase, and he even used his extensive Givenchy beauty kit to sketch out ideas on our ELLE face charts first.

Including Maria Carla's favourite Givenchy lipstick and Teint Couture foundation. She loves, we love...
