I’ve always found smoky eyes one of the trickier looks to master, especially in the day when I think they can look too harsh. So this is testing, especially in a busy office on deadline day. But I quickly learn that the beauty of doing my make-up desk-side meant I could follow Lisa’s step-by-step video exactly.
I started by dabbing the light grey shadow from the Benefit Smokin’ Eyes Palette, £28.50, on the middle of my eyelid to create a base (don’t worry about being too neat here).
Then I took a brush and blended the shadow so that it covered my entire eyelid - this softened the look and worked in the colour.
Next I took the dark grey from the palette and contoured the socket of my eye, just at the top where it creases before blending again.
