Aside from Christmas, spring sees the biggest influx of exciting beauty editions. Why so exciting? Because a) they signal the start of Summer and b) they're LIMITED, which means collectable, which means a bit more special and highly take-home-able. These are my picks, those that I had to take, for research purposes you understand. Make a note in your diary, these are the most shoppable beauty items at the moment and they're not around forever.
There was a summer about six years ago when I lived in the Diorshow azure mascara. It went away, I was depressed, my makeup was decidedly less vibrant. I'm thrilled that it's back and I will be stocking up compulsively.
Essentially a pack-of-cards-sized box of beauty tricks. With mini mascara, bronzer and a Benebalm, the star of the show is the exlusive liquid version of iconic Hoola bronzer ‘Dew the Hoola’.
Makeup maestro Linda Cantello has reworked the ethereal look of Armani’s S/S 2015 show into ultra wearable lip, nail and shadow shade for spring. Sheer, slightly 'off', I LOVE this lipstick.
Of course you love a Breton stripe, who doesn't? But in a sheer SPF compact powder? And emblazoned with the iconic double C's? In the words of Ed Miliband, HELL yes (please).
Inspired by the work of photography legend Norman Parkinson, this is my pick of the collection. Mostly because I love the original Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, this cream version is better for precision contouring and I am obsessed with the compact.
Available for a limited time as a trio, these are Jo Malone’s most poplar blossom scents. Think instant mood-boosting thanks to spring appropriate accents of rose, peach and plum.
I mean what could be better than vintage book-esque pallets from NY tastemaker Tory Burch? Choose from Catch, Cat Meow and Pas Du Tout. (Also, the names!)
Of course I want a seventies inspired version of this wonderfully volumising mascara. It was those SS15 catwalks that infiltrated my consciousness and made me want all retro everything.
The much-loved fragrance (which first launched in 1983) been has been given a graffiti twist courtesy of Japanese artist Que Houxo, who paints in the dark, using fluorescent pigment, with flickering UV light. As standard.
I am personally gutted these are limited, since they're a perfect colour for the perfect taupe-y subtle eye. Like your own skins shadow basically, and one for every colour complexion tone too. My advice: stock up
What is so special about this Candy in particular? It's miniature (20ml) - perfect for travel - and re-imagined by graphic artist Vahram Muratyan, who designed the lips on the box too.
