1. Old Blue Eyes
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'The way to make blue eyeshadow 2018 is to be flippant with it. If it's wrong, it's right. It's cool to be painterly and child like. It's all about being a bit off and not being too considered - that's what makes it look fresh. Be your own editor and have the confidence to carry it off.'

3INA Cream Eyeshadow in 304 - £9
'When you think of the 70s and 80s blue eyeshadow, it was a very defined shape. It was always about working on the outside edge of the eye with a cat eye or upward diagonal and it was always quite perfect.
'This time around, just dip your finger into some blue eyeshadow and literally scrub it on . Then it's up to you if you want to add a graphic liner as well.'
2. Disco Grunge
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'Glitter this time around felt more punk - in the past it's been a bit mermaid and a bit fairy, this time it was a lot edgier. If the glitter was clumped onto eyelashes, it was meant to look like that. If you had glitter nails, then you had glittery fingers and hands as well. It was about making glitter less pantomime and more street - using it as an embellishment like a hair accessory and seeing how far we can go with it.'

Projekt Glitter Biodegradable Glitter Set - £15.83 (approx)
'To keep your glitter in one place and not all over your face, put loose powder all around the area to create a film of powder on the skin. Then you can moisten the skin with something like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream or, if you want the glitter to stick more, take some eyelash glue, wait for it to dry and go clear, then press on the glitter and it'll stay there for ages.'
3. OTT Eyeliner
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'This season's eyeliner is more than just a liner - it's got a shape, it's got detail and it's bigger. At Erdem I did a cat flick that started in the centre of the eye so it had a disconnected feel but it was still very strong. At Tom Ford, even though it had a rounded finish, it still felt like a graphic bolt - like a stamp on your eye.
'Other looks used negative space, or were worn close to the eye, and some looked like you'd literally drawn an oval around your eye. There's nothing feline about the eyeliner we're seeing for Spring.'

L'Oréal Paris Tattoo Signature Liquid Eyeliner - £6.98
'There's two schools of eyeliner going on. There's what I call "late night lived in" that's a bit messy and irreverent. Then there's the other which is very sharp and detailed. I like to use a liquid liner pen so you can literally draw your shape straight onto your face and it lasts for ages.'

4. Glazed Skin
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'At all the shows that I did for SS18, it felt like the key skin trend was 'glassing'.It started in Korea, but you really saw it all over the Spring catwalks. There was a lot of wetness and natural hydration but this time around there's less of the luminizer, and more high shine glass-like glazed finishes. The important thing is that you want it to look a) like you just woke up like this and b) that it looks like you wearing make-up, not the make-up wearing you!'

Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum - £90
'An easy way to create the glazed skin look is to apply your highlighter where you would usually put it, then buff that into your skin. After that, take some moisturiser or serum and pat it on top using your hands to really bring the life back to your skin. You want it to look like real skin, rather than overly illuminated glittery skin.'
5. Red Lips Reinvented
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'I feel like the trend has been matt matte matte for so long and I'm really heralding glossy red lips for Spring. There's this big trend for glossy and glazed make-up, using shiny top coats and holographic finishes with loads of pigment - like a vinyl wet look red lip.
'It was very big in the 80s and 90s but this time around what makes it modern is, instead of having a precise lipliner outline, it has a very soft edge. I like to take a small blending brush and blur out the edges so it has a diffused look.'

Givenchy Vinyl Interdit Gloss - £23.50
'My trick to making a glossy red lip last for ages without bleeding is to use a mattifying skin primer. I'll apply it around the lip line to seal any cracks, then take a stick foundation and lightly apply on top using a blending brush. Then I'd apply some translucent powder and now I'm ready to apply the gloss. Do all of that first and it helps to keep the whole look contained in an invisible barrier.'
6. Tea Stained
LAUNCHMETRICS SPOTLIGHT 'This is one of my favourite looks for Spring, which is why I did it at Preen. I described the look as 'teabag eyes' because I wanted that chestnut shade that's not quite brown, and it's not orange. What's nice about it is that it works with shades that already exist in your hair and skin so it feels very real but also adds a depth and a shadow.
'We always talk about blush and how blush is back, but is it? It's forced upon us but I don't really know anyone that wants a rosy glow as such - you want to look like you're healthy, or like you've just run from the gym or come from a spin class. The 'teabag' shade gives you that 'I'm alive and well' blush effect without using a load of pink blusher.'

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation - £8.99
'A lot of the time when I want to create this look I'll use foundation instead of a bronzer of blusher. I'll use shades that are tawny, or tan, or toffee but definitely not orange. Then I'll take that foundation and use it on the skin, and across the eyes and on the lips. I love a multi-tasking product.'
