Why We're All Searching For Metallic Green Eye Make-Up

Here's endless inspiration for autumn's striking beauty trend.

Millennial pink may well have cornered the beauty market (although Gen Z Yellow looks set to change the game soon), but right now green appears to be having a moment in make-up. Yep, according to Pinterest, searches for 'metallic green eye make-up' have increased by a major 70 percent in the past three months.

The most-talked about make-up brands are too celebrating the shade, with Fenty Beauty's new Galaxy collection boasting two reflective greens in the eyeshadow palette, plus a dark emerald 'glitter release' liquid liner. Meanwhile, the lust-worthy Pat McGrath Labs Mothership II eyeshadow palette has a stunning iridescent blackened green shade, while Maybelline recently released a Color Sensational matte metallic lipstick in a jewel green shade Serpentine – should you want to take the trend to your mouth.

With party season approaching, reflective greens make for the perfect alternative to traditional metallics. Here's some of our favourite eye make-up inspiration that people are pinning.
