Lily James is having a moment. From Downton Abbey, Cinderella and on the stage in Kenneth Branagh's Romeo and Juliette, Lily is the actress to watch. Now she bares all (quite literally) for first ever campaign for perfume My Burberry Black. Here she talks fragrance with ELLE.

My first ever fragrance was...

What my dad bought me. It was a very rose floral smell. Actually rose has been something that is at the heart of the Burberry perfume to and its something I have continued to be drawn to. I've always worn a signature smell, something I've stuck to one perfume. I love how there is a rich sensualness but it also is not to extreme.'

Choosing a fragrance is...

Quite a sensual thing. You have to spray it on your skin and actually feel it and live with it. I used to go round and spray it on a card and suddenly everything spreads in to one. I like something that's not to extreme in any way, not to sickly sweet or to dark'.

To me Burberry Black feels...

'It's not overpowering but it does feel very sensual. There is something stormy about it, like the madness of the storm.'

In my makeup bag you'd find...

A moisturizer, a foundation that matches my skin tone, a tint rather than a foundation. There's a Burberry Fresh Glow, that I really like, that you can just put on. A nice face contour, that shades in your check bones, so you don't need a blush and you can also use them on your eyes to add a bit of definition to your eyebrows. And then probably just a lip balm and a mascara.
