On entering a florist's shop, it's often quite tempting to bury one's nose in the sweet and aromatic scents, seeping from a bunch of hydrangeas, delphiniums and snapdragons or covet the morning-dew of a rose or tulip, freshly picked from a spring garden.

Sadly, most florists don't take too kindly to customers face-planting their pricey produce so it comes as a welcome relief that a French beauty brand has made a rose collection of products specifically for the most avid of floraphiles.

Later this month, luxury beauty brand Lancôme is launching a limited-edition Absolutely Rose 2017 collection for spring – yes, winter will soon be over – which includes a cotton candy-pink shadow and lip palette and a pearlescent white eyeliner.

But, wait for the best bit.

Prepare yourselves for the scintillating La Rose a Poudrer – a highlighter that comes in the form of a delicate English rose.

Yeah, that's right. An actual rose.

Inside a 50s-inspired Bijou box lies a delicate rose which among its petals conceals dispersed illuminating powder.

A light dusting of the rose over your cheekbones, courtesy of the brand's Kabuki brush, and your skin will literally looked like it's been kissed from a rose.

Forget real roses for Valentine's Day, we want this.
