The model line-up for Versace's SS18 show was up there with the most epic of ALL time. We're obviously talking about the moment that stole fashion month and subsequently owned Instagram: the supers – Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni – suited up in classic Versace gilded gowns and accompanied by Donatella, closing the show in a moving tribute to her late brother and founder of the brand, Gianni Versace.
Then there were the new generation models of Insta-fame that can boast of countless campaigns under their teeny, tiny belts. Gigi, Bella, Kendall, and newcomer Kaia Gerber - the list really does go on and on; like Leo's heart and our love for the most beautiful make-up look of the season so far.
The bronzy, golden smoky eye was a thing of pure beauty, but our favourite sound bite from make-up artist Pat McGrath had to be the lipstick reference, and in particular the name. Something very close the designer's heart, we'll give you three guesses. Ok, a clue – it starts with D and ends in onatella.
In a show dedicated to tributes and celebration, Pat used the most perfect nude shade from her new collection of lipsticks that she named after Donatella herself. 'Of course I did,' Pat told us backstage; 'it had to be this one.'
And by perfect nude we really do mean perfect – shade, texture, packaging, the fact it's the creation of the world's most legendary backstage make-up artist: the works.
Obviously, the shade was tweaked to suit different skin tones, as the aim of the game was the most flattering nude for the model in question.
Luckily Pat's new line of lipsticks has a little something for everyone. But we'd act quickly if you want to get your lips on the Donatella shade: we predict a sell-out.
