Anastasia Beverly Hills Is Launching Its First Collection Of Powder Bronzers
No beauty collection is complete without Anastasia Beverly Hills' highlighter 'glow kits' and brow kits (heck, even Oprah is a longtime fan). Now, the cult-favourite brand is looking to dominate in a new category: bronzers. While ABH already offers options within its best-selling contour kits, this is the first time it's creating individual powder bronzers. Even better: ABH created six shades aiming to cover a more inclusive range of skin tones.
Bronzers are miracle-workers. They can sculpt and frame your face, warm up the skin, even out tone, and make it look overall healthier and dimensional. However, folks with medium to deep skin tones are notoriously excluded in the bronzer market—it's not uncommon for them to appear too chalky or grey when applied. Other times, the darkest hue of a bronzer matches skin exactly, defeating the purpose. For someone dark tan like me (NC45 if you speak MAC, or 300 if you speak Fenty), ABH's Powder Bronzer is a lot more promising.
'A wide range bronzers for multiple skin tones ties in with ABH brand principles,' Claudia Soare, president of ABH, tells ELLE.com. 'We are a brand that is lucky enough to have a diverse customer base, and we need to always launch products that meet our customers' needs.'
Aside from the shades, the formula is also noteworthy. It's made of a finely milled powder and goes on velvety matte for the most natural-looking finish. It blends seamlessly into skin (no shimmer!) and you can easily build up the colour for more intensity. Plus, the compact comes with a large mirror for on-the-go convenience.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Bronzer drops on February 20 at anastasiabeverlyhills.com, and March 6 in stores and at other online retailers like Sephora, Nordstrom, and Ulta.
Take a closer look at swatches and what the shades look like on skin, ahead.
