If you want to move on from traditional nail art, why not take it to a whole new level? Jewellery designer Hannah Warner and make-up artist Holly Silius have created a line of ornamental nails made from precious metals.
A selection, including the duos coral and thistle-inspired designs, appeared at the Autumn/Winter 12 Mugler show earlier this year where manicurist Marian Newman headed up the team, 'The nails managed to stun the whole team’ she said. ‘They were the most talked about things backstage, as no one had ever seen anythingn like them before'.
There are plenty of designs to choose from including simple, yet striking pointed gold nails (my favourite, pictured top), spider webs, lizard skulls, leaves and thorns. The nails come in a range of sizes, but can also be made to order. While they look tricky to use, you treat them as you would traditional false nails by attaching them with nail glue or adhesive tabs.
