Marian Newman is arguably the biggest influence in the nail world, ever. She designs nails for the biggest fashion campaigns, magazine covers, photoshoots and catwalk shows. The latter is usually pretty exciting for us - the beauty journalists getting all our new season predictions before anyone else sees them - but this season took it to a whole new level.
It started with the Ryan Lo show and the kind of intricately embellished super original nails that would create a social sensation. We saw them on Instagram, we adored them (think classic Simone Rocha fashion aesthetic translated into nail art), we remained glued to her Instagram feed throughout the entire SS17 season and we were not disappointed.
