What are Bubble Nails?

And would you ever wear them?

It’s a new trend in nails, yes, but is it one we’ll be getting on board with? For now, we’re politely declining, but who knows, if Beyonce ever gives it a go, we may well be backtracking. Maybe. Not.


Bubble nails, or ‘hump nails’, as they are also known involve creating acrylic overlays with layers and layers built up in the middle and thinned out at the edges, like this:

It first surfaced back in 2009, but, for some reason, it’s gaining momentum on our Instagram feeds, with thousands uploading to the #BubbleNails hashtag. 


WARNING: If you are socially invested enough to give this trend a go, don’t keep it on for too long – this excessive amount of acrylic on your nails is pretty damaging. You might lose a few followers too. Unless Beyonce starts Bubbling that is. Thoughts?
