The beauty looks you see on the catwalks are very rarely the first look that the make-up, hair and nail teams conjure up. Tests take place all over the globe between the designers and their beauty teams before the shows to ensure that the beauty looks evoke the intended vision of the designers in the minds of the crowds on the front row.

For the Stella McCartney show Sally Hansen's Global Ambassador Madeline Poole was told that Stella wanted 'clean, neutral, nude, classic nails'.

The final manicure look ended up being a custom-blended nude, created by layering up sheer nude polish, for each model.

In the days leading up to the show Poole came up with a selection of nail ideas for McCartney to choose from including a reverse half moon manicure, an ombre nude look and gold studded nails inspired by the dots in McCartney's logo.

Which nail look would you have chosen?
