Pokémon Go Inspires Matching Nail Art

If you've got to catch them all you might as do it with Pokémon-inspired talons

Since Pokémon Go launched last Wednesday, it's surpassed Tinder in US downloads, resulted in a woman finding a dead body, a man in Singapore getting fired and a husband to choose between helping his pregnant wife give birth or catching a Pokémon.

But Pokémon mania has just stepped up a notch.

In honour of Nintendo's retro game, nail artists are creating designs inspired by the augmented reality world, including rhinestone-topped pokeballs and characters painted onto fingernails.

The most popular design is the red-and-white pokeball which is used for catching and containing Pokémon (because we all know the best Pokémon masters have the nails to match).

Others have chosen to adorn their fingernails with characters such as Norlax, Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff and Squirtle.

Throwing it back with a few first-gen Pokemon! 😍 Polish is @ciatelondon 'Sharp Tailoring'
