Have you ever had that moment when you've seen an advert on public transport, a hand gesture from a weatherman on television, or a magazine headline and been forced to do a double take?

'It is me, or does that look like a…,' you ask the person next to you, mortified your dirty mind might be playing tricks on you in the workplace, on the bus or in the sitting room with your family.

Well, fear not because thousands of beauty fans across the world have just had the same thought after watching a new perfume advert starring model Karlie Kloss.

Yesterday, Carolina Herrera's House of Herrera released a new video (now deleted) promoting the 24-year-old model's 'Good Girl' perfume.

So far, so good, right?

Unfortunately, it didn't take long for Kloss fans to become a little stirred up about the phallic-looking object the New York University student is holding in the images, according to E!.

Let's just get it all out in the open – the bottle looks like a dildo.

Of course, the bottle is made in the image of a black stiletto, but this hasn't stopped Instagram users taking to the brand's post to talk about the product's questionable shape.

'That is a vibrator, not perfume,' one user pointed out, while another asked, 'who approved this design?'

To be honest though, what's so bad about spritzing yourself from a phallic bottle? Perfuming your neck is all about seduction anyway, isn't it?

Earlier this year, Carolina Herrera de Baez, creative director for the fragrance company, explained the idea behind the shoe bottle, admitting to Refinery 29: 'I wanted an object of feminine power.'

Dildo or shoe, the bottle certainly screams 'feminine power'...
