Sneaking in a final win for beauty brand diversity before 2017 finally comes to a close is everyone's go-to beauty destination (when on vacay in the US, of course) Sephora.

Featuring actual Sephora employees from the retailer's real-life stores, the 2017 Christmas campaign features ten different faces from the 1000 plus applicants that threw their hat into the ring.

Fronting the festive series of photos, along with nine of her fellow Sephora employees, is the first ever Afro-Hawaiian woman to star in a major beauty brand campaign, EVER.

Yup, 23-year-old Taija Kerr took to Twitter to announce her happiness at being involved:

Following in the footsteps of Fenty Beauty's extensive foundation shade range, Glossier's candid naked body product pictures and Illamasqua's work with transgender model Munroe Bergdorf, among others, Sephora's inclusion of the New York-based make-up artist is another win for 2017's long overdue diversity efforts.

Speaking on the importance of being involved, Kerr said:

'Most [Hawaiians] don't have curly 'Afro' curly hair and I have the softer Hawaiian features. My father is Hawaiian. My mother is black, so I'm considered Afro-Hawaiian to put them together'

And people are into it.

Joining Taija in the diverse campaign is Sephora Product Consultant and alopecia sufferer Joanna aka Beauty And The Bald, Senior Skincare Advisor Terrell Britten and Youtuber and Colour Consultant Chaimae Boulayad.

Top work Sephora. Here's to 2018 and a year where all women can feel represented, and more importantly, included, in the beauty conversation.

We can do it!
