Christina Ricci, Melissa George, Fearne Cotton, Michelle Williams and Christina Hendricks all opted for striking, bold lips in varying berry hues.
Fearne’s almost-coral pink lip perfectly matched the hue of her Moschino gown. While the flicked liquid black liner and softly curled bob finished off her look.
Michelle Williams chose a rich-hued red that looked striking against her fair skintone and honey coloured hair; while Christina Ricci opted for a similar lip colour, but with a soft smoky eye.
Christina Hendricks went all out with a bright tomato-red lip (Lancome Rouge in Love in Miss Coquelicot), pinky cheeks (Lancome Blush Subtil in Pink Splash) and coral eyes, which in theory shouldn’t have worked but in practice was a well-balanced and very beautiful look for the Drive star.
Melissa George rocked a dicso-glam look choosing a fuchsia lip (Lancome Rouge in Love in Rose Rendez-vous), set off by a soft smoky eye and sparkling sequin black Victoria Beckham gown.
Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay’s look appeared subtle from afar but on closer inspection her smoky eyes were shot through with a daring purple shadow.
Oh, and then there was Miss Piggy, dressed head-to-toe in custom-made Louis Vuitton, with her huge lashes, pink eyeshadow and tumbling blonde tresses, she took the award for most glamorous beauty look of the night.
It wasn’t all bold make-up though. Emeli Sande kept things simple with a smoky eye and nude lip, as did Penelope Cruz. Newcomer Jessica Chastain went all English Rose with soft pink lips, a subtle taupe eye and her red tresses left flowing. Another star to keep her hair simple was Hayley Atwell who left her locks mussed-up and flowing, while her make-up – pretty coral lips and soft pink cheeks – was effortlessly beautiful.
