Beyonce Knowles rocked the Super Bowl. She was so electric that rumour has it the singer was responsible for the power outage that followed her performance and put the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers out of action for 34 long minutes.

The singer's hairstylist Kim Kimble created a 'soft glam' look for arguably the singer's biggest ever performance. Here's how she did it...

'I began by creating a deep middle part in Beyoncé’s hair,' Kimble told Us Weekly. 'I then used the curling wand and began to curl her hair in a vertical pattern.'

'Once I completed curling her hair, I gently brushed the curls out by using a natural grooming brush - this created a really nice finger-wave pattern.'

Kimble then used a serum from her own line of products (not available in the UK), 'This refined the curl pattern ensuring a seamless finish. Last, I used Elnett Holding Spray by L'Oreal to set the look and the result will be glam, soft, bold and Beyoncé.'

Kimble is a genius since Team ELLE Beauty doesn't think anyone has flipped and flailed their hair around in such a short space of time with a hairstyle left intact enough to tell the tale. Interestingly a lot of thought went in to those honey-blonde highlights too, thanks to Bey's colourist Rita Hazan.

'Beyoncé has a chocolate brown base to give it the dimension and a variation of blonde highlights,' Hazan explained. 'Light golden blonde and platinum blonde, along with some chunky highlights and some colour variation on the ends so that when she flips her hair around you get the sexy colour from every angle.'

That's some serious attention to hair detail! Beyonce and your hair styling team, we salute you!
