CND are a mainstay backstage at the international collections, for Spring/Summer 2011 they worked on shows including Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Herve Leger, Phillip Lim and of course, Jason Wu.
‘Every season I play with different ways of using color in my collection, so it was a natural choice to collaborate with CND on a capsule of nail colors that reflects my aesthetics. Included in the set is my signature gray color,,’ says Jason Wu.
The Limited Edition collaboration includes four nail colours: Miss Wu, a super-pale grey hue (and Wu’s signature colour) that dries to a matte finish shot through with a soft sheen; Brigette, named after Bardot it’s a warm pink; Sophia, a soft mushroom shade in homage to Sophia Loren; and Veronica, an oxblood red that will have you channelling the uber glamorous style of Veronica Lake. While all the shades look beautiful and wearable it’s the top coat that has ELLE excited; called the Anna Effect when layered over any of the nail shades it imparts a tweed-esque finish to the nail thanks to microscopic fibres. A tweed nail effect is definitely a new one and we can’t wait to give it a trial run.
The Jason Wu collection, £49.95, will launch here in May.
