With October just days away, meaning Breast Cancer Awareness month, Elizabeth Hurley and the team at Estee Lauder were in town to illuminate yet another iconic landmark pink.

This year Estee Lauder is encouraging people to group together with the theme 'Let’s Defeat Breast Cancer, We’re Stronger Together'.

The idea is you create, with your friends, family or colleagues, a Circle of Strength where a small or large group agree on goals, say seeing a doctor for regular check-ups; making healthy lifestyle changes; or fundraising for the Breast Cancer Relief Foundation.

Estee Lauder is encouraging everyone to spread the work on what their Circle of Strength is doing via social media with the hashtag #BCAstrength.

William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman of The Estée Lauder Companies said, ‘This year, we feel it is vitally important that we encourage people to move beyond awareness by taking actions that we know can help save lives. My mother, Evelyn H. Lauder, believed that no one can defeat breast cancer alone – this spirit of unity is at the heart of our Campaign as we bring people together across the globe to defeat this disease.’

So it was in keeping with the theme that the landmark illuminated was the iconic BT Tower, a symbol of communication in London’s skyline.

Hurley said, ‘I am so thrilled to be here tonight for the 21st year of the BCA Campaign. It’s an honour to press the button to light up The BT Tower; this shining beacon over London will raise awareness and inspire people to take action to defeat this deadly disease.’
