Eva Mendes and Calvin Klein: Too sexy for America?
Eva Mendes' new ad campaign for Calvin Klein scent Secret Obsession is causing quite a stir in the U.S.
The sexy tv commercial (to go with the print ad pictured here) shot by Steven Meisel, has been banned by US network sensors.
According to a rep for Coty who produce the scent, in the ad 'It's clear Eva is having illicit thoughts', but they are adament they did not intent to offend anybody.'We wanted to do a provocative ad. But we we're not trying to be raunchy' Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American fragrances for Coty Prestige told Womenswear Daily.
'There's a lot of skin, but it's tastefully done.' 'We're going to fight it'.
Eva, who is also set to be the face of a new lingerie collection fro Calvin Klein which launches later this year said, ' to me Calvin Klein has always represented sexiness and the freedom to express yourself.'
If the perfume ads are causing waves, we can't imagine what Eva and Calvin Klein have in store for the lingerie campaign.
