Last night Emma Watson attended the gala screening of her new film The Perks of Being a Wallflower her first major role since she hung up her cloak and packed away her wand as Harry Potters school friend Hermione Granger.
Dressed in Dior Couture she looked every inch the grown-up star. Her make-up artist Amanda Grossman exclusively talked us through exactly how she created this red carpet look for the star...
Watson has a naturally clear complexion so Grossman used a little Lancôme Hydra Zen Tinted Moisturiser followed by concealer where needed.
On the cheeks she wanted to give Watson a natural glow above the cheek bone and slight shading underneath'. To get the effect she used Lancôme Blush Subtil in Rose Sable No. 02 on the cheeks and a little highlighter along her cheekbones.
The eye look was classic soft and smoky. Starting with Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse eyeshadow in Pépite Douce No. I102 and Erika F No. I202, she told us, I worked these shimmery gold and brown shades into the socket line, to give a shaded, contoured effect effect, rather than all over the lid.
Along the upper lash line Grossman used a liquid liner to draw a very thin line above the eye finishing with a small tick followed by a smudge of kohl pencil on the lower lash line to give a sultry finish. She loaded Watsons lashes with lashings of black Lancôme Doll Eyes Mascara.
But it was Watsons red lips that took centre stage against her black Dior Couture ensemble. Using Lancôme LAbsolu Mat Cashmere in Shade 300 (a limited edition shade) Grossman stained Emma's lips, adding just a little gloss layered on top.
