On Saturday Darnell was backstage at the Isle of Wight festival with Jessie J. 'Jessie's look was softly natural with feminine lashes. Simple and beautiful!' Karin told ELLEuk.com.
Darnell started the look with a little Bobbi Brown foundation and a light dusting of powder to set in place. On Jessie's lips and cheeks Darnell used just one product Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint in Score, £18 (at Debenhams) before applying Benefit false lashes. She finished the look creating moist highlights on the skin with Benefit Bathina, £22.50. Usually a body product, Darnell proves you should always play around with your products and find inventive ways to use them.
On Sunday Darnell hotfooted it from the Isle of Wight to Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend where she created a completely different look for Rihanna. 'It was a street Egyptian-inspired look, but more fashion than Egyptian!' Darnell told us.
To get that Egyptian feel, Darnell applied a double liquid line underneath and on top of the eyes. To avoid it looking too retro, Darnell 'painted straighter lines on Rihanna's eyelids, rather than an upward sweep'.
Rihanna's foundation was Dolce & Gabbana, while the powder Darnell used on top was by Iman; on cheeks there was a subtle blend of bronzer and peachy blush by Givenchy. Finally, on the singer's lips Darnell used MAC's classic lipstick Ruby Woo, £13.50.
We don't know what project Darnell is working on with Cheryl Cole today, but whatever the look is we’ll be first to bring it to you in detail.
