Marina, who has been working in the industry for 15 years, gave Kate the salon's Signature Manicure, £36, which includes a luxury soak and exfoliation of the hands, a relaxing deep tissue massage, followed by filing, buffing and polishing.
The Royal manicurist said, 'She was so happy and spoke about how much she was looking forward to the wedding. I can’t tell you how excited she was.’
‘She is an incredibly beautiful young woman in the flesh and was incredibly relaxed given what is ahead of her. She didn’t display an ounce of nerves and said she was just happy that the day was here at last.’
So what colour did she choose? Well, an out-of-the bottle shade just wouldn't cut it for the Princess-in-waiting, Marina custom blended a special mix including Bourjois no 28 Rose Lounge and Essie 423 Allure.
‘Catherine wanted something very natural looking and I felt these matched her skin colour beautifully. She wanted something off-white and bridal, so these were absolutely perfect,’ explained Marina.
‘She was very pleased with the result and told me that it looked beautiful and elegant. I can’t wait to see the result when Prince William places his ring on her finger.’
Kate who is keeping things natural, not just with her nail colour but also by doing her own make-up will be the first Royal since the Queen not to book an artist for her big day.
