Lady Gaga has Tweeted pictures of her soon-to-be-released perfume Fame, showing the key ingredients in the fragrance, in response to an editor who broke the strict embargo by posting – and then deleting – a picture of the bottle on Twitter.
Understandably, Gaga was not impressed with this, Tweeting, ‘Looks like photos of my perfume are being leaked. Oh you fashion editors I could just crinkle my hands at you!’
The accompanying Instagram pictures show the Fame bottle and the back of the box, which lists the ingredients as tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.
Rumours surrounding the scent have been circulating for two years and, last year, it was reported that it would be based on the smells of blood and semen and its ‘black fluid’ will become transparent when it touches the skin.
It looks set to have androgynous appeal, too. The singer Tweeted, ‘My perfume was designed for women, but a lot of my gay friends wear it’, to her 25 million followers.
That overexcited journalist may have beaten Gaga to the punchline but it certainly hasn’t diminished our excitement – we can’t wait to smell Eau de Gaga.
Details of when the fragrance will be available are yet to be announced.
