The limited edition empty palettes are adorned with inky leopard print (that featured in his spring/summer 12 collection) in three shades: pink, blue and mint. Each palette costs £10 and can hold up to four pressed eye shadows, £11 each; or two glow on blushers, £16 each. The genius palettes allow you to choose from an endless amount of product combinations so you can get your exact make-up match.

'It’s a dream come true for me to collaborate with Shu Uemura, I love the colours and textures that Shu Uemura has to offer, and feel that both our brands have such a similar spirit,' says Lupfer.

London-based Markus Lupfer became a catwalk regular at London Fashion Week in February 2003 before working as design director at Armand Basi until 2009. He's created capsule collections for Topshop (his sequin-embroidered jumpers are ELLE favourites) and he counts Lily Allen, Roisin Murphy and Daisy Lowe among his celebrity fans. So we're ecstatic that our make-up bag will soon be getting in on the Markus Lupfer action in the shape of customisable Shu Uemura palettes.

The limited edition Markus Lupfer palettes, £10 each, will be available from 19 February. To get on the waiting list call any of the following stockists: Selfridges London (020 7318 3962) and Old Trafford (0161 629 1218), Brown Thomas Ireland (+353 1605 6666) and the Shu Uemura boutique in London (020 7240 7635), as well as online at shuuemura.co.uk.
