In the quiff camp was newlywed Carey Mulligan, Cate Blanchett, Cameron Diaz and Rihanna. Cameron Diaz recently told chat show host Jay Leno that she cried when her hair was cut short, last night however she seemed to have reached a happy place with her hair – it looked great.
On the opposing hair ‘team’ as it were sat Homeland star Claire Danes and Alexa Chung who both worked the red carpet with beehives.
While the aforementioned hairstyles were winners, sitting on the fence, and getting it oh-so-right was Leighton Meester along with actress and model Nina Dobrev. Both blended the two hairstyles: a quiff and beehive, ending up with hairstyles that seemed utterly modern and classic at the same time. Leighton, Nina and your hairstylists, we applaud you.
