Nails are not normally news at award ceremonies with nude or red being the shades du jour. This is especially true if the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga aren’t on the guest list... But last night at the Golden Globes two stars nailed more adventurous looks.
Zooey Deschanel (who kind of looks like Katy Perry, don’t you think…?) tweeted a picture of her nails saying ‘I am wearing a gown but my nails are wearing tuxedos!!! #goldenglobes’. To get the look, paint your nails an opaque white and leave to dry. Next, using a black nail art pen add a black tip to each nail, a couple of dots in the centre to look like buttons and draw on the bow tie near the cuticle. Finish with a top coat. An easy look (if you have a steady hand).
