Emma Stone chose to add a pop of colour to her black Alexander McQueen dress with a bold pink lipstick keeping her eye make-up minimal with a slick of liquid liner. MAC Make-up Artist John S gave Kelly Osbourne a strong matte neon coral-pink, which team ELLE loves – it’s the perfect shade for spring and we love it. Emily Blunt also chose a coral shade of lipstick but just a little less neon. Blunt's make-up artist Jenn Streicher said, ‘I usually focus on her eyes, says Streicher. ‘But this time we went for the lips.’ Streicher used a pink-coral hue by Tom Ford called Flamingo, £36 (Selfridges). The eyes were kept simple with Dior deep brown eye liner and a sweep of pearly pink eye shadows (Chanel Quad #34 Eclosion and #92 Rose de Mai) across her lids. She then played up the cheeks with a coral shade – YSL Bronzing Powder #2, £33 (House of Fraser) - that complimented her lips. ‘I knew it would be warm outside,’ she says ‘And I wanted to keep the look fresh and spring-y.’
Another Glee star, this time Jayma Mays, proved romantic make-up doesn’t have to be the colour of love (red/pink) she chose a soft gem green to make her hazel eyes pop. While Natalie Portman also avoided pink, by choosing a smoky aubergine-hued eye shadow instead.
Busy Philipps and Zoe Saldana both wore a silver eye colour and pretty pink lipstick.But for Busy, it was her her soft side parting and pretty rope braid detail hairstyle that really stood out for us.
