It’s no secret that we’re a little in love with lipstick on the Elle Beauty Team (our Beauty Director's Twitter handle is @i_love_lipstick). But finding that perfect shade can be tricky. Often the shades you’re desperate to wear don’t always work and can leave you looking washed out or worse: a bit clown-like.
That’s why we’re particularly excited about No7’s new idea. Their scientists have created a No7 Match Made Lipstick Service; a free, in-store colour measuring device that tells you your skin tone and matches you up with all the possible lip shades that work for you. The device takes seconds to match you up, which means you don't have to spend hours trawling the beauty hall in search of 'the one'.
The 43 available shades, grouped into six families, were organised by identifying 60 colours that flattered one or more complexions and testing them on a wide range of real women. The shade range is available in both the Moisture Drench and Stay Perfect finishes. And while you're there, you can also get matched to your perfect foundation shade (another tricky one to get right).
The days of panic-buying are over. Now, go forth and find your perfect shade.
