Pros: Why spend any more than £30 on a hairdryer when this does the job perfectly? Don’t kid yourself that expensive machines perform better -  only a salon blow-dry achieves a better look.

Cons: It didn’t strike me as terribly compact, just a regular size.

Verdict: By far the best hairdryer I have ever used.

USP: Uses ionic technology which, over time, improves the condition of the hair.  It’s 2150W, which means drying time is seriously reduced.

Pros: In addition to having a fold away handle, it dries my hair quicker than any other dryer I have used. The ionic technology helps to reduce the static that normally plagues my fine hair.   

Cons: None, I can’t fault it.

Verdict: The best hairdryer I have ever owned.  It’s pricey but for the performance and the time saved it’s worth it.

Pros: It’s super compact, lightweight and surprisingly, pretty powerful! Looks good too.

Cons: Didn’t give me the finish my usual hairdryer does.

Verdict: Handy size and perfect for short weekends away. But, better suited for people with fine or short hair.

Pros: This hairdryer is lightweight, with a 3-metre cord; really powerful it’s so easy and quick to use. With ionic technology it creates a stream of negatively charged ions that break down water molecules helping to tame frizz as it dries the hair.

Cons: It’s easy to knock the digital touch control button, changing the speed and heat.

USP: This speedy dryer has a Ferrari designed engine for a powerful and fast blow-dry.

Pros: The engine is able to generate air pressure at 2200W and it has 6 heat and speed controls, which is more than most.

Cons: The price.

Verdict: It’s very expensive for a hair dryer but it does work brilliantly, drying my hair in next to no time at all.
