I love getting facials. Even more than indulge in a relaxing massage, facial treatments are my absolute favorite thing to gift myself. Because I have two businesses and two babies, I'm rarely able to indulge in spa time. Instead, I've mastered the art of the DIY facial. My version isn't your basic wash, exfoliate, mask, and go routine. My facials are intense to say the least. Here, everything I use for spa-level results at home.

Cleanse. I double cleanse just to make sure I get everything off. First, I use an organic raw coconut oil (you can find at the grocery store); this removes all the makeup, dirt, and impurities. Next, I usually follow with my everyday favorite, La Prairie's foam cleanser, just to make sure it's squeaky clean.

Steam. This is probably the most relaxing part for me. I love how the steam hits your face and opens your pores and preps your skin for the next steps. I love the personal facial steamer from Dennis Gross, which heats up in less than a minute and is portable and really easy to use. You can also take a hot shower.

Tweeze. Now is the perfect time to get rid of any pesky hairs that you might see. I can't stand to go between waxes with my hairs all over the place. Right now your pores are open so the hairs slide out very easily.

Skip extractions! Leave this part to the professionals. I've scarred myself from trying to pop pimples on my own. Besides it always ends up worse, am I right?

Exfoliate. I double exfoliate! First with dermaplaning and then with a peel. This insures that all of my dead skin is removed. I love to dermaplane because it not only removes all the dead skin cells but also gets rid of all that pesky peach fuzz. My skin feels so soft and smooth afterwards. I recommend watching the YouTube videos first on how to do it so you don't nick yourself. I use the tool from Stacked skincare; it comes with a few blades that are good for a few months.

Peel. After the dermaplaning, I use a TCA multi-acid peel from Stacked skincare. Kerry, the founder, says that peels are much better than an abrasive scrub because, "Peels provide a deeper, non-abrasive exfoliation, while killing bacteria, lifting hyperpigmentation, and speeding up cell turnover." I'm in! The peel tingles but in a good way. I put it all over, even on my lips!

Multi-Mask. I use a combination of masks on my skin because different areas need different attention. For example, all of the pores on my nose are always clogged. So for that I use a clay mask like the Koh Gen Do cleansing mud mask. I apply this mask to my T-zone as well; it helps to combat the oiliness. For my cheeks, neck, and décolletage I like to use something hydrating like Sjal perfecting mask. It's infused with blue sapphire and copper that help lift, tone, and firm your skin.

Serums and micro-rolling. These two steps are combined because they're infused together. I use the EGF serum from Stacked skincare followed by a micro-roller session and then the PSC serum after. The EGF serum is super powerful. It's basically the fountain of youth. EGF's or Epidermal Growth Factors are naturally occurring proteins found in our own fibroblast cells! They stimulate cells to produce collagen. They also help with pigmentation, wrinkles, and improvements in skin texture.

I use the micro-roller in between these serums because it helps penetrate the product more. Micro-rolling can improve your product absorption rate by 70%. Last serum is the PSC peptide serum. This potent anti-aging serum features peptides and plant stem cells. Plant stem cells are rich in antioxidants and they neutralize free radicals. Basically, it works!

Moisturize. We are almost done. After my face has dried and calmed down from the micro-rolling, I apply a night cream. I use the 10% Glycolic Acid Cream from Beverly Hills Center for Plastic Surgery. I absolutely love this cream. Glycolic Acid is derived from cane sugar. It's an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that has super small molecules so it's able to penetrate the skin deeply and easily. Glycolic Acid treats fine lines, acne, dullness, and oiliness. I apply the cream on my neck and bust as well.

Condition lashes. We can't forget about the eyes. I take a Q-tip and apply the TCA face peel right under my bottom lash line. Then I use Revitalash on top of my lashes to help them grow. Next I use the Lashfresh silk protein lash conditioner followed by my favorite La Mer eye cream.

It's important to do your facial about an hour or two before you go to bed. This keeps the products from seeping into your pillowcase and insures that you get the maximum absorption! It's also a good idea to sleep on a clean pillowcase and if it's silk, even better. I really love the Iluminage Skin Rejuvenating pillowcase. It's infused with copper and it's clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
