Chanel’s Edinburgh Pop-Up Featuring Margot Robbie

If Chanel did nightclubs, it might look something like this, complete with Grace Jones soundtracks, winding red staircases, disco balls, a Chanel cinema and plenty of red lipstick in the powder rooms. Designed over two floors of an Edinburgh townhouse, this curated experience is in fact Chanel’s very chic way of helping you find your perfect shade of red lipstick from the new Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche range, as worn by Margot Robbie - who fronts the campaign film playing in each room. Before the grand finale, a lowly lit room where you can take a snap in the photobooth or sit back and listen to the live DJ set, you are invited to sit at your very own Chanel desk and try a favourite lipstick on for size. Testers have never been so chic.

Glossier's First UK Pop-Up Has Arrived

Anyone who knows their Balm Dotcom from their Generation G will delight in Glossier's latest news: the US export has opened up its first ever UK pop-up called ‘Realms Of You’. An ode to the cult skin scent, Glossier You, the space features three rooms complete with an immersive experience to shine a light on the bestselling fragrance. Expect selfie mirrors, ASMR and a ton of never-before-seen Glossier merch, from mini branded microphones to the chicest of all pepper grinders.

Burberry Beauty Has Returned

For anyone that worshiped at the altar of its glow-enhancing make-up, news that Burberry Beauty is officially back is one to mark in the beauty calendar. More so, that the British retailer is heading to Selfridges with a new Burberry Beauty boutique (set to open in December), where you can swatch, spritz and discover all the latest formulas. From trench tech-powered foundations, to the long list of runway-inspired lip colours, there's innovation and individuality in equal measures.

The need-to-knows: Selfridges London will open a Burberry Beauty boutique on the 4th December, with a pop-up preview from 2nd November.

'The Cult Of Beauty' Exhibition Has Opened

Calling into question the notion of beauty is a new art exhibition: 'The Cult Of Beauty'. Featuring unique artworks, films and historical objects, this new multi-sensory exhibition, which is housed at The Welcome Collection in London, opened to visitors yesterday and explores the evolution of beauty; the ingrained set of beauty standards through history and cultures and challenges viewers to look at the beauty landscape from a new lens.

The need-to-knows: 'The Cult of Beauty' is curated by Janice Li; it's free to visit and is open from October 26 2023 to April 28 2024 at The Welcome Collection.

British Beauty Week Kicks Off 26-30 October

A time to shine a light on British talent, British Beauty Week is here and is bringing the biggest tastemakers, brands, launches and so forth to the fore. Running from October 26 to 30, and in conjunction with British Beauty Council, this year it's all about celebrating 'the power of beauty'.

'We hope this year’s British Beauty Week will not only highlight the industry’s success but also launch it into a whole new era of growth, prosperity and innovation,' says Millie Kendall, chief executive of the British Beauty Council, in a statement.

'Few industries in the country are as diverse, inclusive and life-enhancing as the beauty industry – it’s time people realised its power.' To celebrate, there will be late-night shopping, masterclasses and events.

Cowshed Celebrate 25th Birthday With Babington House

It's hard to believe that London's go-to countryside retreat, Babington House, is 25 years old. To celebrate, the Soho House escape lined up a series of one-off dinners with menus designed by the food world's hottest names, including London hotspot, Lyles. Marking their 25 year anniversary alongside Babington is Soho House's legendary bath and body brand, Cowshed, who have launched a limited edition hamper full of spa-worthy treats and a bespoke Botanical Facial to honour the occasion.

Kendall Jenner Is The New Face Of L’Oréal Paris

L’Oréal Paris has welcomed Kendall Jenner to its star-studded family of celebrity global ambassadors, from Elle Fanning and Camila Cabello to Viola Davis and Eva Longoria. The model has stepped away from the runway to begin on yet another beauty venture, after previous collaborating with Estée Lauder and, of course, Kylie Cosmetics.

'I’m honoured to be part of a new sisterhood of strong, powerful women and to be able to say those iconic words, "I’m worth it,"' the supermodel shared. 'Joining the L’Oréal Paris family and having the opportunity to embody everything the brand stands for feels like a true full circle moment.'

The brand’s September make-up campaign will see Jenner become the face of L’Oréal Paris' Infallible Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick range.

Julia Fox Stars In Isamaya Beauty Campaign

For her latest beauty drop, make-up artist and industry disruptor, Isamaya Ffrench, has called upon the modelling prowess and bold beauty aesthetic of Julia Fox. The provocative queen of viral eye make-up and barely there outfits stars as the face of Ffrench's ISAMAYA INDUSTRIAL 2.0 drop, marking a year since the brand's debut.

Posing alongside Isamaya herself and model, photographer and creative director Richie Shazam, Fox rocks spiked glam rock silver eyeliner, a slicked back ponytail and more than a few silver face piercings, while Ffrench works an almost identical sci-fi punk beauty look in blue.

The latest BDSM-inspired collection includes a shade extension of the Lip Plump Serum and a remixed Industrial Colour Pigments Palette 2.0 - all reworked in chrome and glistening pearl finishes.

Celine Haute Parfumerie Lands In Harrods

Fashion house Celine have launched their first ever dedicated haute parfumerie space outside of Paris in the hallowed beauty halls of Harrods. The new beauty destination arrived in true Celine style - think engraved gold finishings, graphic black marble and more cut glass perfume bottles than Hedi Slimane's private fragrance collection.

Echoing its counterpart space at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, the new installation features a fragrance 'organ' housing the entire Celine haute parfumerie collection. Expect to see the iconic oblong glass bottles as well as the brand's signature inky black candles and 'Maison Celine' objects including tortoiseshell combs, vanity sets, perfume cases and more.

Attention all Londoners! Lush's latest collaboration has arrived at its Soho store. Partnering with Focus Features, Lush Studios, Soho has undergone a full makeover inspired by Wes Anderson's latest film Asteroid City. Decked out in the filmmaker’s iconic whimsical pastel-hued style, this transformation is truly unmissable; think a pastel-coloured cafe stocked with free slushies, and of course, some on-brand bubbling bath and body treats. Timothée Chalamet Is The New Face Of Bleu De Chanel

Be prepared to see a lot more of Timothée Chalamet (we're not complaining). The Call Me By Your Name star and his pre-Raphaelite curls made his ambassador debut with Chanel as the face of Bleu De Chanel perfume, lensed by acclaimed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti with a campaign film directed by Martin Scorsese (naturally) coming this autumn.

Perfumer Jacques Polge composed the first Bleu De Chanel in 2010, and it is now available as a parfum, EDP and EDT along with bodycare ancillaries. Chanel has described Chalamet as the perfect representation of the 'visionary and edgy spirit of the next chapter of Bleu De Chanel'. We couldn't agree more.

Gucci Beauty Debuts The New Faces Of Guilty

Gucci Beauty has debuted the new faces of its Gucci Guilty fragrance line including Grammy Award-nominated musician A$AP Rocky, Emmy Award-winning Inventing Anna star Julia Garner, and Oscar-nominated actor and director, Elliot Page. The star-studded trio, shot by Glen Luchford, will front the campaign, which launches in March.

The iconic Guilty fragrance, which launched over ten years ago, has cultivated a mass following for its array of amber offerings for men and women. Gucci has described the new campagin as 'an ode to self-acceptance, friendship and love in all its forms through a story of tenderness, imagination, and curiosity.'

Sephora To Open UK Store

Beauty obsessives rejoice! After returning to our lives last year with their UK site, legendary retailer Sephora have announced that they are officially opening a bricks and mortar store in the UK. The beauty destination will open its UK doors in March in the hallowed shopping halls of Westfield London, White City. And it's going to be big. We mean, literally. At 6000 square feet the store will offer personal services as well as their iconic product offering of over 140 cult beauty brands.

'We are very excited to open our first store in London, which is something we know our Beauty Community has been waiting for many years,' said Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK.

Legendary make-up brand NARS have officially entered the metaverse with the launch of their first ever virtual beauty ambassadors. The 'Power Players' are a trio of hyper-realistic digital avatars inspired by the brand's best-selling lipstick shades: Dragon Girl, American Woman and Too Hot To Hold.
