Renowned facialist, Lisa Harris has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry under her belt and has amassed a huge following of loyal devotees. So my expectations are high when I book into the newly opened Knightsbridge Skin Science Clinic for one of her legendary treatments.

After a very thorough skin analysis, Lisa recommends a Collagen Wave facial – a non-invasive, skin tightening treatment that encourages the production of collagen and stimulates healthier skin cells, with zero down time. I'm both excited and sceptical - no recovery time sounds too good to be true.

Lisa starts the treatment by applying a gel to my face and neck area, before rolling a heated rod over my face – sounds weird, but it actually feels rather pleasant. Noticing the confused look on my face, Lisa explains this rod combines radio frequency with ultrasound-waves to heat up the deeper layers of the skin, thus stimulating the skin's natural collagen production.

30 minutes later I survey the results in the mirror and I'm genuinely impressed. My skin looks noticeably plumper, my eyes look like I've had 10 hours sleep and my smokers lines around my mouth are much less visible.

I counted around two weeks of colleagues and friends telling me my skin looked amazing before the results wore off. So I'd say this is the perfect treatment if you've got a big event coming up that you want to look great for, like a wedding or holiday.

If you want longer lasting results, Lisa recommends booking in for a treatment every three to four weeks to build up your skin's collagen. I've already booked in for my second session.
