Nicole Kidman Just Schooled All Of Us On Our Sun Cream Regime

Nicole Kidman just made us up our sun cream game

As is typical with being British, we spend the whole year complaining about the grim weather (it's not even a cliché, we just love the chat) only for the sun to finally emerge and then we complain about that as well.

Between the sweaty commutes to work, and finding an outfit that's both office appropriate and doesn't make you feel like a vacuum packed sausage, when the sun eventually decides to rear its head, we tend to lose our cool a little.

Don't even get us started on the sunburn.

We're notorious for our panda eyes and the infamous t-shirt neck, and even when we actually make a sensible attempt at sun cream, our skin still seems to suffer.

The solution? Do as Nicole Kidman does.

Speaking to Allure, the Australian actress revealed her secret to maintaining her porcelain complexion:

'In the morning I smother, smother sunscreen on. I'm outside a lot and love exercising outdoors, but I don't like the sun on my skin because it's very fair. My parents have also had skin cancer, so I have to be really, really careful — I use the SPF 100. I know it sounds like a lot, but it isn't. I use it on my kids. I use it on myself. I've always had to do that.'

SPF100?? We'll be honest, we didn't even know that was a thing.

*Googles and adds to basket immediately*

Putting our SPF30 to shame, Kidman just schooled us on how to get geeky about your sun protection. 'It started because as a kid, I didn't want to get freckles', she told Allure, 'Then, I started researching it, which is kind of my tendency anyway. I love to research. Because this is all scientifically based and clinically proven, it's a very, very good fit for me because I have to have proof. That's just kind of who I am.'

Mrs Kidman, we'll be reporting to you for all our future beauty lessons.
