What comes to mind when you think of a perfume advert?

A black-and-white shot of famous A-listers writhing around in bed?

A perfume bottle defying gravity and delicately rolling down a woman's neck?

A pop song slowed down, overlayed with a French man speaking sweet nothings that you don't quite understand but it sounds sexy because, well, he's French?

Well, scrap that because Kenzoworld has just released the best perfume advert – ever.

Ever.

Yesterday, the fashion brand unveiled a new promotional video for its latest scent, from Opening Ceremony founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, featuring American actress Margaret Qualley.

Qualley – who is also Andy Macdowal's daughter – stars in the four-minute clip and can be seen wildly flailing her limbs, licking a statue, lungeing upstairs, twitching her eyebrows and energetically busting a move like nobody is watching.

Stripped of the moody confines of her The Leftovers character Jill, the classically trained dancer first appears in the advert sitting quietly at a posh dinner with fellow guests before walking outside and breaking into a bizarre range of facial expressions and body movements.

Director Spike Jonze has drawn on his earlier work as inspiration, most notably his music video for Fatboy Slim's 'Weapon of Choice' starring Christopher Walken and collaborated with his brother Sam Spiegel on the accompanying track 'Mutant Brain' which is officially our track of the week.

The video's music is an original track by Sam Spiegel & Ape Drums feat. Assassin called 'Mutant Brain'.
