The recently opened One&Only (Cape Town, SA) is the latest offering from this luxury hotel chain. Situated in the picturesque Victoria & Alfred Waterfront area, this contemporary urban hotel has two lushly landscaped islands with 40 island suites and the One&Only Spa at its centre.
The Spa is comprised of 12 private treatment rooms. Each with a beautiful candlelit, vaulted wooden ceiling to gaze up to, heated treatment bed and en suite shower and bathroom facilities. The spa also has couples rooms if you would like to enjoy the experience with a friend or partner.
Before your treatment, clients are invited to take full advantage of the spa’s ‘heat experience’. This means - sauna, steam facilities and the hi-tech vitality pool with water jets and bubbling aqua beds.

I signed up for the signature ‘Essence of Earth and Ocean’ experience, which includes a sea salt body scrub, algae wrap, head massage and full body massage using hot seashells. The spa uses ESPA products but most of the ingredients such as Seaweed, sea salt and seashells are sourced locally to give treatments a native twist. The spa staff are very discreet and make clients feel super relaxed and pampered. Two hours later I left feeling reborn.

Besides a fantastic spa, the hotel also has a great boutique shop, NEO, selling brands like Azzedine Alaia, Martin Margiela and Balenciaga and two internationally recognised restaurants, Nobu and Maze by Gordon Ramsey. Massage, retail therapy, dinner – that’s your whole day sorted.
