Tucked back from the bustling streets of Mayfair and secluded in the basement away from the business of the hotel, this central London spa is a tranquil urban getaway.

The spa is sleek and modern with a hint of oriental style that gives it a welcoming, warm vibe. Extensive facilities including the swimming pool, sauna, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi, ice room, triple storm shower room, dry and wet sauna and relaxation rooms (complete with heated beds, herbals teas and dried fruit snacks) defy this spa’s small size.

Treatments range from massages to basic grooming like manicures and pedicures. Our favourites are the Ayurvedic Ritual Facial (£99), which works to treat blocked energy using Indian massage techniques and leaves even the most polluted skin glowing, and the Hot Stone Massage (£135) which combines deep pressure techniques that loosen muscles and melt tension away.

This spa is tailored to its native, inner city visitors and specialises in relaxation for those who may not have all the time in the world.

Best for: Deep relaxation for the time sensitive.
