A short train journey from central London, The Grove is a deluxe 5 star hotel set within gardens large enough to accommodate a golf course and the luxurious Sequoia Spa. Contemporary, while still being comfortable, the spa is perfectly situated in a quiet part of the gardens, its facilities include the usual sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, but it is the attention to detail that makes this spa standout.

The main pool is slate lined giving it an ultra decadent feel and a relaxing ambience, while, the separate vitality pool, complete with under water jets allows you to give weary muscles a gentle pummelling before treatments. Sequoia’s relaxation rooms are the quietest you will find at any spa, dim lighting, comfortable beds and curtains for added privacy allow you to reap the true benefits of your treatments. Plus, before you leave you’ll find everything you need in the spacious changing rooms, from ESPA beauty products to hair straightners.

All treatments are by ESPA and many are bespoke including massages, facials and wraps which can all be formulated with your therapist during a pre-treatment consultation. The Advanced Super Active Facial, £140 is well worth a try, products are tailored to your skin’s needs and the treatment lasts 90 minutes. Enough time to leave skin glowing and to achieve a state of deep relaxation.
