Spa Illuminata is in one of London’s most exclusive post codes – hence its bijoux, boutique feel - but is immediately relaxed, welcoming and friendly. Upstairs you’ll find shelves well stocked with some of your favourite beauty brands (Dècleor , Carita , Shishedo etc) and downstairs you’ll discover the ‘Inner Calm Room’ where treatments take place. It’s handy to take a bikini if you’re particularly modest as the spa recommends that you start your spa experience with a steam treatment. My therapist applies purifying and detoxifying salts to my body before I relax in the steam room. Afterwards, I am settled into a dimly lit treatment room onto a very comfortable bed for my Decleor Perfect Legs treatment, £95 for 1 hour. She exfoliates my legs, then massages them from hip to toe – the foot massage is bliss and the therapist’s technique and pressure is perfect. Finally a cooling, revitalising leg gel is applied making this is a great treatment for anyone in a desk bound or standing job, who suffers with tired or restless legs.
