Thermae’s extensive facilities include steam rooms infused with essential oils, great relaxation rooms and the Minerva pool which is intrinsic to its must-have Watsu treatment £62. (The Minerva pool is separate to the open air, public pool and is private for one-to-one treatments). During Watsu, floats are attached to the body to create a feeling of weightlessness in the pool. Your therapist then performs different types of massage including acupressure and gentle stretching to put you into a deep state of relaxation. This is a must-try treatment: nothing relaxes like Watsu.
Thermae spa is open to the public for swimming so it has a livelier ambience than other spas. But the treatment rooms and relaxation areas are perfectly private making this a great choice for a girls weekend, where you can gossip to your hearts content – guilt free!
