I'd like to say a big happy birthday to Space NK which is 20 this year! As part of the celebrations it is exploring the question 'What does beauty mean to you?' through The Beauty Council, which launches online at noon today.
The Beauty Council is made up of 20 influential individuals, including mother and daughter Pearl and Daisy Lowe, chef Tom Aikens, illustrator Julie Verhoeven and food magicians Bompas & Parr, among others, who have explored the meaning of beauty through their chosen medium such as film, written essay or a collection of images. The project's aim, apart from questioning our ideas on beauty, is to raise money for the store's charity partner Women for Women International, find out more at the website here.
As well as The Beauty Council Space NK is asking its customers 'What is beauty to you?' via its Discover Season, starting in stores today. You can meet and talk beauty with a variety of experts including Space NK founder Nicky Kinnaird, Radical skincare founder Liz Edlich, Clean & Lean guru James Duigan and plastic surgeon Dr Marko Lens, among others.
