Can you imagine spending 40 minutes on your lips every day? Kylie Jenner can.

During Keeping Up With the Kardashians, brother in law, Scott Disick spilled the beans about Kylie's precision lining, saying: “Have you seen her do her lipstick? It takes like 40 minutes and then she like pulls one lip, pushes one out."

That means if she pencils in her lips every day for a year she'll spend the equivalent of 10 days perfecting her pout! For us, that's a dreamy holiday spent in front of the mirror. Not going to happen.

Our Beauty Director, Sophie Beresiner, says:

"Lipliner should take NO MORE than 40 seconds max.

Take a pencil that matches the lipstick shade you'll be layering over the top.

Start at the cupids bow and draw an X from the tip of one side down to the lip, then the other tip back over to cross int he middle.

Connect each tip to the outer corner of your top lip with two more straight lines.

Make a wide grimace, then draw one smooth line from corner to corner outlining your bottom lip. This should be the same motion as applying lipbalm from a tube, but be more careful not to go over the edge.

Colour in the middle, blot, then apply lipstick over the top."
